About us

Palliacco is a not-for-profit organization providing services and activities free of charge, in French and English, to residents of the Pays-d’en-Haut, Laurentians and Antoine-Labelle RCMs as well as the municipalities of Saint-Donat and Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci.

Our mission is to help maintain the quality of life of people with cancer or at the end of life, regardless of the illness, as well as caregivers and grieving people, including children, teenagers and their families, by providing accompaniment, support and in-home respite services.

Our story

Since its foundation, Palliacco has acquired a solid expertise and flawless credibility in palliative care support at home. 

2007
Palliacco’s headquarters at 2280 Labelle Street in Mont-Tremblant opens its doors thanks to the generosity of Mr. Pierre Boivin. The organization starts providing accompaniment and in-home respite services.
2009
The organization’s name, Palliacco, is made official (PALLI for “pallier” or alleviate in French, or palliative, and ACCO for accompaniment).
2010
A point of service opens in Sainte-Agathe-Monts to facilitate access to services for the population of the south of the Laurentians RCM.
2013
Palliacco holds the very first edition of A Trek Under the Stars, its flagship fundraiser.
2018
A new point of service opens in Saint-Sauveur.
2020
Consolidation and continuity of services. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Palliacco has adapted some of its activities to ensure virtual support.
2021
A daytime rally and a new destination, Morin-Heights, are added to A Trek Under the Stars.
2022
At-home respite services for children, teenagers and their families are implemented. We now offert services in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci and Saint-Donat.
